What to expect when visiting an osteopath

A first consultation with the registered osteopath is similar to that of a medical practitioner. The osteopath will ask you a series of questions about your complaint and complete medical history.

Please bring a list of medication and any relevant x-rays or scan results with you if performed.

What We Treat

Osteopaths treat babies to the elderly using gentle hands-on therapy. Osteopathy recognises that a lot of pain and disability suffered stems from abnormalities in our body’s structure and function. As osteopaths, we treat musculoskeletal pain by balancing tissues and normalising function which then helps the body to heal.

Sports Injuries
We evaluate the patient to determine structural, mechanical problems that may be causing the injury, then use hands-on deep tissue techniques, mobilisations and manipulations to effectively treat the area.
Cranial Osteopathy (babies/children)
Osteopathic treatment using the cranial approach is gentle, safe and effective for babies and children. Very specific, skilled, light pressure is applied where necessary to assist the natural ability of the body to release tensions.

Anna graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000. She has also qualified in cranial-sacral therapy at the Upledger Institute. Anna is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and the British Osteopathic Association.
